Transmitter is a new FL Studio 2026 plug-in that splits incoming audio into transient and sustain components. Image-Line says the two streams can be shaped independently and routed to separate Mixer tracks. The plug-in is currently listed for the All Plugins Edition.
Start with a problem, not a preset
On a snare, the transient path can carry crack while the sustain path carries ring and room. On a pluck, one path can hold the pick or attack while the other holds tone. This separation can be more natural than replacing the source before understanding which part is wrong.
Try processing the sustain with reverb or modulation while leaving the transient drier. On a percussion bus, saturate the sustain and keep the attack clean. For sound design, distort or pitch one component and blend it under the original.
Check what the split changes
Transient detection depends on material and settings. Listen to each component alone, then together. If recombination changes level, phase, or punch, compare against bypass at matched loudness. Fast repeated notes, cymbals, and already-limited loops may not separate as neatly as a single drum hit.
Print a short section once the setting works and test it in the full arrangement. A sharper isolated snare may become tiring under a vocal. The useful result is the one that supports the groove at normal listening level.
Keep the chain recallable
Name routed tracks clearly, save the preset with the project, and note the required FL Studio edition when sharing. Render critical tracks for collaborators who do not have the plug-in.
